Paul Vahle GmbH & Co KG, a leading global supplier of power and data transmission systems for mobile applications, is cooperating with Swedish e-mobility start-up Elonroad. Both companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) announcing their partnership. The aim of this is to develop innovative power transmission solutions and expand their joint presence in the port industry.

"The collaboration between VAHLE and Elonroad brings together a unique combination of experience and expertise, on an equal footing. Together, we strive to set new standards in power transmission and help shape a more sustainable future," says Achim Dries, CEO of the VAHLE Group. While the VAHLE Group has over 100 years of experience in power and data transmission, the Swedish start-up brings its "plugless" power transmission for electric vehicles to the partnership.

The innovative "plugless" technology enables direct charging of e-vehicles while driving and parking. It is already used in public transport or logistics centers and has proven to be reliable, efficient and cost-effective.

Combining their technologies and expertise, both companies plan to develop a comprehensive solution to reduce the CO₂ footprint of container ports while increasing their operational efficiency. VAHLE and Elonroad's in-motion charging technology, or dynamic or wireless charging, is expected to enable faster and more flexible energy delivery to industrial vehicles. In addition, the technology is expected to help the industry take another step toward zero-emission terminals.

The CEOs of both companies, Karin Ebbinghaus and Achim Dries, are convinced of the positive development of their partnership. "We are looking forward to working together with Elonroad and see significant synergy effects from the cooperation," says Dries. "Together we will shape the future of energy and data transmission in port technology and make a significant contribution to a more sustainable world."

Karin Ebbinghaus, CEO of Elonroad, says, "We are proud to have gained such a significant partner as VAHLE in this industry segment to bring our technology to the port industry."

The cooperation partners are currently already in discussions with several major port terminal operators to implement potential projects.
