VAHLE Cleanup Day 30.03.2023
Environmental action day a complete success. Around 20 trainees and instructors ensure cleanliness and order around the company premises in Kamen.
Around 20 apprentices and instructors of Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG ensured cleanliness and order around the company premises in Kamen on March 28. The VAHLE Cleanup Day will take place annually from now on at the Kamen-based specialist for energy and automation solutions.
Last Tuesday, Cleanup Day took place at VAHLE to rid the environment of trash and set an example against pollution. Apprentices and trainers participated in this day and diligently lent a hand in the surroundings of the largest industrial company in Kamen.
The original plan was to hold a cleanup event in December. However, due to bad weather conditions, no outdoor action could take place. Fortunately, this day of action could now finally take place. The training manager Kathrina Adelsberger emphasized that environmental protection and climate are important topics for everyone, which is why we were happy to participate in the action.
The 20 or so young people were divided into four groups and collected trash and litter in the area around the company headquarters in Kamen. The result of the three-hour action: 17 trash bags full of litter!
"It's really unfortunate to find so much discarded garbage right next to trash cans," says training manager Kathrina Adelsberger. In view of the fact that so much trash was found in the vicinity of our company, this action day is a fixed date in the calendar from now on and will be continued next year.
