Electronics technician

Whether in the home or in industry - nothing works without electronic devices and systems today. Electronics technicians for devices and systems are therefore true all-rounders when it comes to technical devices. Perhaps you have already created a circuit with electrical components? You love to repair electrical devices such as computers, televisions or game consoles? Then an apprenticeship as an electronics technician for devices and systems might be the right thing for you.

In our in-house training center you will find the ideal conditions to learn the basics of your profession. Here, together with other trainees, you will be familiarized with the basics of electrical engineering by the training team. Soldering components onto circuit boards is no problem for you. Inspecting, maintaining, repairing and commissioning devices and systems will soon be one of your easiest tasks.

You will use the knowledge you have acquired in the electronics departments. You will be supported by nice colleagues whom you can always talk to. If you are interested in this apprenticeship, you should above all have good instincts. Communication and organizational skills are also helpful. Technical understanding, manual dexterity, diligence and a solid basic knowledge of math and physics are also advantageous.

Electronics technicians for devices and systems

  • support developers in the realization of orders, the analysis of required functionalities and technical environmental conditions as well as the conception of circuits
  • produce samples and one-offs
  • select, test and adjust mechanical, electrical and electronic components, assemble them into devices and systems and install and configure programs
  • create device and system documentation
  • create layouts and production documents
  • place and coordinate orders for the procurement of components, auxiliary materials and operating resources for the realization of internal and external customer orders
  • plan and control production processes, organize group work
  • set up, program, optimize and maintain production and testing machines
  • participate in the analysis and optimization of production processes
  • test components and equipment and repair them
  • work with English-language documents and communicate in English as well

With us, you will not only learn the practical side of the profession, but we will also not leave you alone with the theory. So that you can prepare as well as possible for the final exam, we offer you individual support. Your trainer will be happy to help you with any kind of technical questions.

Vocational school and duration of training

The apprenticeship as an electronics technician is a so-called dual training: You learn the theoretical basics at the vocational college in Witten, and the practical side at our company. The training lasts 3.5 years, but can be shortened if you perform well.
