Compared with conventional
methods of transmitting power to devices (via conductor, Powerail, or
cable-handling systems), CPS®
technology offers the following advantages:
- Maintenance free and thus high
utilization of equipment with correspondingly low operating costs.
- No limit to travel speed and rate of
acceleration of the mobile equipment.
- No noise and contact brush dust, because
the power transmission is carried out entirely without contact.
- Large track clearance due to
corresponding design of the air gap between the pick-up coils and the
primary winding.
- Unlimited use even under extreme
environmental conditions, such as dust, water, ice, wind, etc.
- High efficiency due to optimum component
selection and use of modern high-performance electronics.
The innovative CPS®
design represents a combination of high efficiency, simple
installation, and total reliability.
In combination with the VAHLE
SMG data transmission system, CPS opens up a wide spectrum
of applications.
